RESOURCES: Presentation slides
related to the lesson (www.kivaprogram.net), Kiva notebooks, pencil
cases.
Activities:
1. Kids listen to the
teacher, who reads a short story about being included in a group.
2. Kids have 5 minutes to
share similar experiences that they may had during last vacations.
3. Teacher projects the game
level 1 on the board and divide the class in small groups.
4. Kids take turns to play.
5. Kids watch the
presentation projected on the board.
6. Kids share what they
think bullying is.
7. All together define
bullying using Kiva parameters.
8. Kids make should act
different situations in small groups to the rest of the class.
9. The rest of the class
should identify if the situation is about bullying, an accident, an argument,
or just playing and support their answer.
TIME: 60 MINUTES.
HOMEWORK:
1. Illustrate in Kiva notebook the four situations
and label them: bullying, accident, argument, and playing.

3. Teacher reads aloud and
monitor kids attention by encouraging kids to make predictions every time that
teacher turns the page .
4. Kids listen to the story
one more time and look at the illustrations.
5. Kids retell the story to
show comprehension.
6. Teacher models activity
by asking some questions about the story (teacher may give a pattern with WH
questions on the board).
7. Kids work in pairs to ask
one question about the story.
8. Kids illustrate the
question and share in facebook.
TIME: 60 MINUTES.
HOMEWORK:
1. Read pages 18 to 31 and
write three questions using “what”, “who”, and “where”.
2. Answer your own questions
and illustrate.

backwards from 69 to 99.

for basic subtraction.
RESOURCES: Tokens, notebook,
chalks, playground, dices.
Activities:
1. Teacher throws a ball to
a child and says a number.
2. The child should say one
number less and one number more than the given number.
3. The child does throws the
ball to a different classmate and gives a number between 69 and 99.
4. Kids repeat the last
steps during 5 minutes.
5. Kids take some tokens to
share with their classmates if they need to.
6. Kids complete the number
sequence taking turns and using tokens or asking classmates for help.
7. Kids should be tolerant
and share material.
8. Kids complete the sequences
in book pages 142 and 143.
TIME: 50 MINUTES.
